Hi,
Before I proceed with the issue, here's SAP' settings to keep in perspective for analysis;
- KEA5- No Customer Hierarchy characterictics (KMHI01/02/03) are assigned to operating concern.
- KEDR- No SAP standard/ customizied derivation rule exits for customer hierarchy
- COPA billing doc- No characterics for customer hierarchy is found in document.
Key Point:
- KE30- in report characteristics tab, 'hierarchy' box is checked, based on which we're able to run COPA report & see customer roll up for P&L.
Issue-
Nothing got changed apparently from config.but we're getting the following error/info message while trying to run COPA report with customer hierarchy;
"Hierarchy _______is not unique.
Diagnosis- Only proper hierarchy are supported. That means that each characteristics value must be assigned to exactly one node. This is not the case here. Check your hierarchy or chose a different hierarchy"
Now, we're unable to see customer PL roll up to top node because of the above error.
We also spot checked the hierarchy to see if any customer is assigned to two different nods, but that's not the case, nor we can re-align COPA since we're not deriving hierarchy overtly nor is KES3 maintained in the instance.
It looks like COPA somehow picks up the hierarchy from SD.
How can we find the root cause & fix this anomaly? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
